Robert is a cum laude graduate of the University at Buffalo School of Law. While at Buffalo, Robert was a member of the Trial Team and a finalist in the 2016 National Ethics Trial Competition held in Sacramento, California. Robert was awarded the Robert J. Connelly Award for Trial Technique which is awarded to students who exhibit excellence in trial advocacy. Robert also received several trial advocacy awards for college and high school level mock trial participation, and was a founding member of the St. John Fisher College Mock Trial Team.
Before joining Smith Sovik, Robert had the opportunity to intern for the Monroe County District Attorney, the Monroe County Public Defender, and Disability Rights New York where he was involved in all stages of litigation.
At Smith Sovik, Robert’s practice focuses on all areas of litigation including premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, products liability, Labor Law and construction site accidents, medical and professional malpractice and Workers’ Compensation defense.
