Smith Sovik Kendrick & Sugnet PC announced today that they have relocated and expanded their Buffalo office to better serve its client needs in Western New York. The new office is located in the Rand Building at 14 Lafayette Square. With the expansion, Smith Sovik adds two attorneys and a paralegal to their team.
Colleen K. Mattrey, an experienced trial attorney with an impeccable record of success, joins the firm as a Partner. Colleen is a graduate of State University of New York at Buffalo (1998, magna cum laude) and received her J.D. at State University at Buffalo School of Law (2004). Colleen focuses her practice on defense of hospitals, nursing homes, physicians, podiatrists, chiropractors and other health care professionals. She also defends premises, motor vehicle, product and employment liability matters. Colleen is a member of the faculty at University at Buffalo School of Law, teaching trial technique to second and third year law students.
Sean D. Schoenborn will join the firm as an Associate. Sean is a graduate of SUNY Geneseo (1998) and State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law (2001) where he was a member of the Buffalo Law Review. Prior to joining Smith Sovik, Sean worked at a long-established Buffalo law firm doing litigation and the general practice of law. He has extensive experience in defending municipalities, asbestos claims, contract disputes, general commercial litigation and personal injury lawsuits. At Smith Sovik, Sean will handle all types of litigation matters including premises liability, motor vehicle and labor law claims.
