Born and raised in the Syracuse area, Brendan graduated from Albany Law School in 2024.  While in law school, he earned a spot on the Dean’s List and was an active member of the Business Law Society and the Sports and Entertainment Society during his first year.  He gained valuable experience as an intern at a local Syracuse law firm during the summer of 2022 and at Smith Sovik as a Summer Associate in 2023.  He later rejoined the firm as a Law Clerk during his final semester of law school in 2024.

Before law school, Brendan worked for one of the nation’s largest payroll companies, where he analyzed financial data to determine risk probability.  He also worked for one of the largest regional banks where he provided financial services to clients.

At Smith Sovik, Brendan’s practice encompasses all areas of litigation, including personal injury, labor law, motor vehicle and premises liability, and medical malpractice defense.
