Smith Sovik Kendrick & Sugnet, P.C., is pleased to announce that Gerard Belfort and Erin Thomas have joined the firm as attorneys in our busy Fishkill, New York office.
Prior to joining Smith Sovik, Gerard worked for large law firms in New York City and specialized in investigations and litigation. Gerard has previously represented individuals and large corporations in a variety of matters in federal, state, and tribunal courts. Gerard also previously served as a Judicial Law Clerk for a federal district judge in Chicago, Illinois.
In law school, Erin worked at two different firms where she assisted in social security disability work in Columbus, Ohio. Erin also worked at the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office in the Juvenile Division where she assisted prosecutors in their handling of criminal cases from intake through trial. Erin was an active member of her law school’s Mock Trial team.
Gerard and Erin will be handling civil litigation cases in Hudson Valley and Downstate New York. SSKS is pleased and privileged to have them on board!
