David joined Smith Sovik in 2002 after working for another litigation defense firm in Syracuse.  He became a Partner in January 2012 and heads the firm’s Workers’ Compensation group, representing some of the biggest corporations and insurance companies across New York State.  Each year David acts as a speaker at Continuing Legal Education seminars focused on defending Workers’ Compensation claims.  In addition to his Workers’ Compensation practice, David also defends general liability and construction matters.
