Gardar Olafsson is an Associate in the Syracuse, New York office. Gardar obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Syracuse University College of Law, where he was a member of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Washington.

Prior to joining Smith Sovik, worked at a nationwide defense firm with nine locations across the United States.  While there, Gardar represented a variety of corporate clients in defense of toxic tort litigation.  Gardar’s prior experience also includes working for a boutique worker’s compensation insurance defense firm in Syracuse, New York.

Gardar focuses his practice in all areas of litigation, including defense of personal injury, labor law, motor vehicle, premises liability, medical malpractice, and workers’ compensation claims.
