Kristin joined Smith Sovik in October 2000 and was elected to partnership in 2008.

Kristin is a trial lawyer and appellate advocate.  She has successfully tried numerous cases in the areas of premises liability, Labor Law and motor vehicle accidents in courts throughout the State of New York.

Kristin focuses her practice on trucking and motor vehicle accident, premises liability and No Fault/Auto Accident claims.  She spends most of her time defending restaurant and retail establishments like Carrols Restaurant Group, Burger King, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen and Tim Hortons, as well as defending trucking companies like McLane Northeast and individuals in claims arising out of auto accidents.

Kristin received an AV Preeminent rating from her peers through Martindale-Hubbell, was honored in 2013 with the “Forty Under 40 Award from Oswego County Business Magazine, has been included in Super Lawyers Magazine Upstate New York Edition every year since 2013, and was recently included in Best Lawyers 2025 in Litigation/Insurance.
